Traceroute command is a utility network software that uses ICMP protocol to send packets to a target (an IP address or a domain) and get statistics about the complete route from your computer to the destination.
How to traceroute?
Traceroute is everywhere! Get it on your macOS computer, Linux, or Windows in its Tracert version. You want to have it in your pocket. There are mobile applications for iOS and Android too.
The query has a TTL, which is the number of maximum hops that you allow the query to make.
